SPRING DEFENSIVE AND PITCHING/CATCHING CLINICS

The Magdaleno School of Baseball is happy to announce that we will begin our annual Pitching and Catching Clinics and that our Defensive Clinics will continue to develop local players.

Both Clinics will be directed by Coach Steven Hardesty, who is the Director of Operations for the Magdaleno School of Baseball.

On behalf of the Magdaleno School of Baseball, Coach Hardesty is pleased to announce the hiring of our new pitching coach Travis Flowers. Travis is a former standout at Nordhoff High School, who continued on to play at both Ventura College and then at the NAIA level before returning to Ventura and beginning his work with the Magdaleno Baseball School.

The Defenisve Clinics, which run on Sundays have been received with positive feedback from our players and their families, so we will continue to offer that program on a weekly basis.

The Catching and Pitching Clinic will be run on the same day as the Defensive Clinic and both clinics will now be held at Huntsinger Park in Saticoy.

Pitching and Catching Clinic Sundays at Huntsinger Park

9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Defensive Clinic Sundays at Huntsinger Park 

 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Pay scale:

$25 for one clinic

$40 if a player signs up for both clinics

$80 for a four lesson package saves $20

$160 for four double (both clinics) lesson package saves $40

SPRING ONE-ON-ONE\ONE-ON-TO HITTING PROGRAM 2010

Christmas is already here and the New Year is right around the corner. That means that baseball season is only two months away, in fact, it starts for our Ventura College players on January 11, 2010!

Our Fall Hitting Program went well and now it's time for the Spring Hitting Program to begin. We will be advertising our program in the media within the next week and with baseball season approaching we expect a large turnout. However, we want the players that have been part of our program in the past to have the first opportunity at securing a hitting spot.

This program will be slightly different in the spring. We will not have four-man hitting groups, but rather we will have two-man lessons or individual hitting lessons.

The two-man groups will be the same price, but the individual lesson will be priced slightly higher. The two-man group will be $110.00 per month and the individual lessons will be $120.00 per month. There is a sibling discount as well.

The lessons will run from January to May, which should get our hitters through their youth league schedule. The lessons will be held on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sundays from January 4 to April 4.

The information for the hitting lessons is below:

Location: Ventura College (until the indoor facility is up and running. We are working diligently on the facility. When it opens the lessons will move indoors.)

                 9:00 -- 9:30

                 9:30 -- 10:00

                 10:30 -- 11:00

                 11:30 -- 12:00

Cost: Two-Man Lesson Package -- $110.00 per month; Sibling discount -- $100 per player per month. Save $20.00

         Individual Lesson Package -- $120.00 per month
